Our long-time running Showcase draws many of the northeast's best teams each year. Championship play on Sunday has become a team favorite. Tournament is held at Lions Lake Park and the Westampton Sports Complex, 2 of the finer softball complexes in the State.
The 2016 Ross Natoli Catholic University Baseball Fall Prospect Camp is designed for the advanced high school student-athlete in the 2017-2020 graduating classes who is striving to reach their full potential and eventually compete at the college level. All players will have an opportunity to meet, learn and be evaluated by current Catholic University baseball coaches. Our Camp coaching staff and instructors will include the entire Catholic University Baseball Coaching Staff, led by Head Coach Ross Natoli in his 32nd year, Associate Head Coach Bobby Picardo, Pitching Coach Connor McGuiness and Assistant Coaches Tim Mierzwa, Chris Nee and Dan Hinchcliff. Varsity players from the 2016 Catholic University Baseball Team will also be on staff to participate as assistant camp instructors and interact with prospects.
The Tusculum College Baseball program is proud to host the 17th Annual Collegiate & Pro Fall Showcase Camp. A large number of last year’s participants were given the opportunity to continue their baseball playing careers. This showcase will allow the region’s top players, graduating 2017-2020, to work with and display their talents to numerous college and professional scouts in the area. Our showcase is unique, because the individual has the opportunity to work hands on with numerous college coaches and professional scouts in a half-day camp setting. The athletes will also participate in several skill tests including fielding, hitting, arm strength and the 60-yard dash. **Please note that you will only showcase your defensive skills at your primary position during the workout. You can play your secondary position during the games.**
The Instructional Camp will be held at the College of Alameda, home of the Hawks. The camp will begin at 10:00am sharp. Check-in time will begin at 9:30am. The Holy Names Hawks Baseball Instructional Camp is open to all players between the ages of 15-19. It is a great opportunity to learn from top level collegiate coaches. This camp is specifically designed for the high school and junior college baseball players serious about baseball and looking to continue playing at the next level. The camp is designed to improve your baseball skills by offering personalized instruction in hitting, throwing, fielding, and pitching. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a live scrimmage in order to showcase the skills you have teamed.
This fall Head Baseball Coach Chris Finwood will host a camp geared specifically for infielders. Coach Finwood is one of the best infield instructors on the east coast with over 60 infielders advancing to the professional ranks in his coaching career. The camp will be broken up into two parts. The first 3 hours will focus on all aspects of infield play; and the last hour will be dedicated to a hitting rotation. Infield topics will be as follows: ·Set up- how to carry the glove and ready position ·Approach to ball- proper footwork to different types of ground balls ·Proper fielding position- glove and hip position for optimal fielding performance ·Double play feeds and pivots ·Run-through plays and slow rollers ·Infield throwing Check-in Time 11am-11:45am Camp: 12:00pm-4:00pm -OPEN TO ANY AND ALL
